Casey Jaz is an Aussie musician with a passion for crafting worlds out of sounds and lyrics. She has a diverse musical background with a Bachelor of Music (songwriting major) under her belt and on top of this completed the Berklee College of Music course: 'Interactive Scoring for Games' with a high distinction.

Throughout her life, she has strived to take part in as many corners of the live music industry as possible, including: musical theatre, choral ensembles, jazz stage bands, orchestras, world music groups, singer songwriting, rock bands, and more. All of this, and especially her special interest in performing musical theatre, has allowed her access to an expansive array of genres in her compositional toolkit and has given her an aptitude for the dramatic and emotional. She feels confident that when assigned a setting, emotion, idea and/or character, she will have no difficulties composing a theme that will ring true.

She prolifically practices composing, with her portfolio accessible in the 'Composing' tab. Here you will find the original score she composed for the documentary 'Conflict and Community' accompanied by many video game, film, animation and advertisement score rewrites. Her experience with softwares like Unity and Wwise is also on show.

As a songwriter and performer, Casey has a unique style, her songs known for provoking joy and dance as much as they illustrate beauty and depth of emotion. Her musical theatre, choral and opera backgrounds give her a confidence on stage, often accompanied by her trusty guitar. She has participated in several singing competitions and has achieved many awards in her time, including winning and placing in contemporary and classical vocal Eisteddfods, achieving a pass with credit in the AMEB grade 5 vocal exam and having attended high school with a music scholarship. In August 2023 she released her debut EP 'Emerging Sun' which you can read more about, as well as many more of her projects, in the 'Songwriting' tab.
